The network is committed to supporting women groups involved in restoring degraded landscapes to promote sustainable and secure food sources, timber supply, and biodiversity conservation. By doing so, the network aims to contribute to the achievement of several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land).
The network recognizes that sustained food security is crucial for the well-being of communities, and thus encourages pupils to cultivate backyard gardens to learn about secure and sustainable food sources. Through these efforts, the network seeks to promote a more environmentally conscious and socially responsible approach to agriculture and forestry, contributing to the achievement of a more sustainable and equitable future. The network's focus on supporting women groups and youth engagement is a step towards promoting gender equality and youth empowerment in Ghana.
